Kenta and his brothers Koda and Kuro were rescued from the streets of Memphis when they were tiny, fragile, sickly kittens. The fate of their mother is unknown. A Memphis cat rescue group took them home to foster and nurture and they did an amazing job bringing them back to life!
Kenta wasn’t as sickly as his two brothers when he was first rescued so his name means healthy and strong in Japanese. He lives up to this name too! He is confident, fearless and nothing phases him. He made friends with his foster's German Shepherd on the very first day of being rescued and let Kiyomi lick him all over! Kenta is a perfect purry kitten who loves to make biscuits and suckle on his blankie. He enjoys being held, even on his back like a baby. He loves wrestling with his brothers and playing with balls, string toys, lasers and any other random thing he can find. He has an adorable dopy face and the BEST personality!
HART requires that young kittens be adopted in pairs unless you have an existing kitten or young cat at home. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions. Rather this ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Most rescue groups have similar policies regarding kittens.

***BONDED WITH STUFFING***
Our Thanksgiving Feast kittens were found alone outside in Central Maine with no mother cat in sight. A good Samaritan brought them to HART where they’ve been living in a foster home ever since. Because they weren’t exposed to people for the first two months of their lives, they’re still getting used to human companionship. Due to this, we are requiring that they be adopted in pairs to quieter homes without young children or active dogs so that they each have the comfort of one of their siblings in their new home. Fun fact: each Thanksgiving Feast kitten is a polydactyl with extra toes on either their front two paws or on all four paws!
Pumpkin Pie is a gorgeous and very fluffy gray and white kitty with opposable thumbs on her front paws. She’s the shyest of her litter and still spends a lot of time hiding in the corner at her foster home. She has, however ,been gaining confidence every day! Pumpkin Pie is very interested in playing with toys and when the room is quiet, she will come out and sit nearby and show her foster family that she does enjoy being pet and she will purr to show her enjoyment. Pumpkin Pie will need to be adopted by patient people in a quiet home who will allow her the time and space she needs to blossom. Pumpkin Pie needs to be adopted with her brother Stuffing. They are both shy kitties that find comfort in each other's company.

Just look at Stuffing’s cute face! Stuffing is a fluffy gray and white kitty with adorable extra toes on his front paws. He’s a shy kitty who is beginning to show his more playful and loving side in his foster home. He hides when his foster family initially enters the room, but after a while he ventures out and will sit nearby and enjoy pets and purrs. He loves playing with the feather toy as well. Stuffing’s adopters will need to allow him time to feel comfortable in his new home, but he’s showing signs that he will be a wonderful feline companion if allowed plenty of time to settle in. Stuffing needs to be adopted into a quiet home with his little sister Pumpkin Pie.

Turkey is a handsome gray and white fellow with an adorable black nose. Turkey is the most outgoing and confident kitten of the litter. He follows his foster mom around asking for pets and enjoys curling up on a nice lap for a nap. Turkey has the best purr and LOVES to play with toys. And goodness, Turkey’s paws are amazing. He has opposable thumbs on his front paws and his back paws have several extra toe beans as well. He is sure to bring lots of love and snuggles to the home lucky enough to snatch him up!
